Een film, een boek, een lied. Met een verhaal. Het kan van alles zijn. Een verwijzing naar de actualiteit, een achtergrondverhaal wie ik ben, wat mij drijft, de missie die mij bezig houdt. Vandaag is de verjaardag van mijn moeder. Ze wordt 80.<br>Vandaag nummer 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>27. Mississippi Burning<br>26. School, Supertramp<br>25. De Avonden, Gerard Reve<br>24. Once Upon a Time in the West<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23. Break on Through (to the other side), the Doors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tonvisser.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/23-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-132\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You know<br>The day destroys the night<br>Night divides the day<br>Tried to run<br>Tried to hide<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een brug bouwen naar de eigen kant van de kloof is geen kunst.<br>Verbinding zoeken met de eigen oever van de waterscheiding heeft niet zoveel zin.<br>Wie zit daar nou op te wachten?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Break on through to the other side<br>Break on through to the other side<br>Break on through to the other side yeah<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ik had een vriend die me altijd aan Jim Morrson denken deed. Rinie. En Jim doet me aan Rinie denken. Nog steeds een vriend, alleen is hij naar de andere kant verhuisd. Naar Nieuw Zeeland, naar Napier. Toen ik vijftien jaar geleden in Australi\u00eb terecht gekomen was, heb ik hem even in Napier opgezocht. Drummer in een band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I found an island in your arms<br>Country in your eyes<br>Arms that chain<br>Eyes that lie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niet dat Rinie uiterlijk op Jim leek, hoor. Al had hij er wel wat van weg, voor wie het zien wilde: net zo&#8217;n charisma; een mooie jongen die ogenschijnlijk gemakkelijk door het leven stapte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En hij kon verschrikkelijk goed korfballen. Drie jaar lang deelden Rinie en ik een auto, een donkerbruine Datsun Sunny. Twee keer per week reden we op en neer van Tilburg naar Veldhoven, naar SDO. Rinie speelde in het eerste, ik was er trainer van de jeugd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Made the scene<br>Week to week<br>Day to day<br>Hour to hour<br>The gate is strait<br>Deep and wide<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De kunst is een brug te bouwen naar de overkant van de kloof. Hoe dieper de kloof, hoe noodzakelijker de brug.<br>Verbinding maken heeft pas zin als het naar de andere oever van de rivier is.
